contacted my insurance today & the excess that i'll have to pay is R3100. yes, that's correct R3100 out of my own pocket. where would i get this amount of money you ask? i'm asking the same question. they'll be sending someone to assess the damages (within the next 48hours), then they'll update me on what needs to happen next. on the upside, i get a courtesy car tomorrow morning. have to fetch it from the rental company (budget)... hopefully i won't have the same experience as kate&sam. here's to positivity & a great week ahead!
