the first award i ever received and felt truly proud of, was a book i received in the first grade
i remember so well sitting on the floor, in the hall of new germany primary school
i was the littlest of group (was always in the front row of class photos)
& nearly shrieked when they called out name
i shook my teachers hand & had the biggest grin holding my book:
alice in wonderland

i sit here now, 19years later finding it so interesting how that very book,
is teaching me lessons now:

"if you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there"
"...it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then"
