my weekend began yesterday,
with a great koninginnedag (queens day) celebration with old & new friends in groningen

playing "spot the sober person"
card games in the park
dinner at a great hidden gem of a greek restaurant
laughter, good food, and conversations about travel
the day ended with janet and i not being let onto the train because it was filled. to. capacity.
chris kindly offered to drive us home & i thankfully took a nap in back while they chatted
now off to the market with sarah & her aunt wait patiently for the plumber to come & fix my 'no hot water' situation
and the electrician to fix my "no heating" problem

excited to see how the rest of the weekend will unfold...
all the kiddies were on great behaviour - little 'd' (in his own beautiful way) even asked me to cuddle with him on the couch
went out for hot choc with a couple of the ysa's after institute last night...
i got home at around 01:30
oh did i tell you that i'm now the 'activities director' - i had to laugh
(they ask the foreigner who works the most hours)
my body no likey gluten
true story.
welcome to my life - sans gluten
spring is on it's way...true story
we had 3days of pure sunshine this week - i wore sandals & no coat yesterday (ha! take that winter)
i only worked half-day today, so i went into the city to peruse the bits at the weekly market
-vendors sell everything from fresh veggies (yummy!) to boots, bags and fresh stroopwafels (yummer!)-
i scored myself two spring-ie dresses for an upcoming trip (tba)
it's my mom's birthday on the 29th (she gets wiser and more funny with age),
so i bought her a gift that's sure to make me the favourite child :)
versace perfume, hand lotion, the complete mr. bean dvd series & belgian chocolates - yes please!
busy trying to find the pretties/cost efficient way to wrap & send it off
this song gives me goosebumps
i love it because it's a great song & with thought prevoking lyrics
i love it because it's reminds of the haiti (& other places in calamity)
i love it because it's the 2010 soccer world cup anthem.
which is in south africa. my home, my love, my blessing. they couldn't have chosen a better song
the virus the infected my pc & i needed to format it. yes, i lost all my music
because of aforementioned virus, i've gone from over 7GB of music to 480MB. seriously.
i see this a good thing. somewhat.
it's a nice, fresh, clean start
you're the best.
especially now that i have a webcam. re: chats with left lung over the weekend
but now, you make things a little more difficult.
now, i want more (last born syndrome)
you're making me miss my friends & family alot. a whole lot.
i want more than just to see them/hearing them....
i want need to hug them. laugh with them. eat with them. go on road trips with them.
