it was premiere night and well,

wowza!

i read twilight - & fell inlove with mr. cullen

watched the movie - fell inlove with mr. pattinson

read the rest of the series - couldn't sleep or think about anything else for weeks

waited months & months & months for the 2nd movie

and well

we're going again tomorrow :)

Just cant get enough...

Or is it maybe an addictive personality? Either way i fear for the man who will marry me :) i dont have a car this whole long weekend! Nothing, niks, nada! Said goodbye to the precious rental on friday morning "goodbye yaris, you have served me well"... I thought i was going to crazy this morning! So much i wanted to do, but no means to do it. Then, i realised id bought 'breaking dawn' & needed to read it! That's ALL i did today! I finished the Twilight Saga...wow, really? Then, i have no internet access at home so i pray in gratitude for my trusty phone! I shudder to think how much money i've spent facebooking & blog reading... And now too impatient to wait till tuesday i post using my handy Nokia E65. This'll be my 130th post, what a great way to commemorate this day! Hahaha. Makes you wonder how i'd survive without technology. Never really thought myself to be that kind of person. Oh goodness, im addicted to the world wide web...

'breaking dawn'

i FINALLY tracked down "Breaking Dawn" at a decent price (books are quite pricey here in SA) & got settled comfortably in addicted reader mode :) i just had to remind you of his PERFECT proposal! future fiance, if you're reading this, this is ALL i need you to say. that's it. nothing less. nothing more. "isabella swan (insert my name here.haha), i promise to love you forever - every single day forever. will you marry me?" takes my breath away!! i know it sounds crazy, but seriously. it's THE MOST beautiful&genuine proposal i've ever read. true story :)

Lions&Tigers...&rollercoasters oh my!

I ended off 2008 in a really great way! my friend mase has a friend over from Germany & they wanted me to hang out with them a couple days last week - so much fun! on Monday, we went to a Game Farm and got a chance to feed Elephants, see giraffes, zebra, lions (behind gates), tigers & leopards! it was awesome!

then, on Tuesday we went to Gold Reef City Theme Park the next day and that was evn MORE fun!! i fear rollercoasters, but LOVE them all the same! ....im one of those "im going on every single ride" kind of people, and psych myself up to do it and actually do it.lol. i love the THRILL, FEAR, ADRENALINE of it all!!

Wednesday, i decided to hang out with my madre... so went shopping and i bought myself a couple clothes items, she bought me gorgeous sunglasses, i got these really cute Soviet sneakers and ......drum roll please... A CAMERA!! yes yes, not exciting for you, but major for me. i've wanted a basic digital camera for the longest time & finally decided to do it! i love it :)

i finished New Moon and had to get the last book! im excited to start reading the last book of the series.

For New Years i had about 30 people over (at my sisters place - they're in Europe for the holidays) for a little get-together and random fun. it was exhausting but tons of fun, and even though it rained all night, we welcome in '09' with non-alcoholic champagne, junk food, nintendo wii, movies and board games!

i had a couple people sleepover so they didnt have drive home so late, and we all got to bed at about 02:30 and had to wake up at 07:00 'cause we were all (others from the night before) meeting up at Mugg&Bean for breakfast.

Thursday - Mase came over, we went to movies and chatted till about 01:30... it's Friday and its safe to say that I'M EXHAUSTED! a good exhausted though :) Im excited for this year, it'll be awesome.

birthday weekend recap!

so Friday was my ....BIRTHDAY!!! yaaay and now im officially 24 years old *shock horror gasp!* haha. i woke up at 03:15 (not because of overwhelming excitement to get older) so i could be on time to catch my 05:55 flight to Durban aka HOME!
after a 40mintue drive to the airport, praying constantly that i wouldn't get lost, i made it there with enough time to spare... so i sat in the waiting area and eagerly started reading the first

pages of new moon! yes, i bought it the night before... didnt have the patience to see if my sister had caught on to my hints of me really wanting it for my birthday.haha.

got onto the plane with the intention of continuing to satisfy my edward cullen addiction, only to realise that my exhausted body had other plans :) i fell asleep while the airhostess was explaining the emergency procedures and woke up to the sound of the Captain saying: "we will be landing in 6minutes".... cars, planes - if im not behind the wheel, the motion puts me right to sleep!

when i got home, my super cute madre had bought me a really pretty dress and a voucher for shopping time with her :) so, we chatted till around 10:00 and went to town! i love factory shopping, because you get really really great deals on awesome stuff...so i got a couple summer dresses (loving them at the moment!) & shoes ofcourse.
3 hours later the heat was just too unbearable, so we cut the shopping spree short & headed home so she could run errands and i could take a well-deserved nap.

nicole (d'almaine) then came over and we went to find a birthday cake (long story) & she took me to a really nice tea garden up in hillcrest. got home aroud 4pm, played with Zigi, had a dip in the pool...forgot to eat dinner, chatted endlessly on the phone to my WONDERFUL FRIENDS who called for my day... and went to bed :)
i felt so much love :) got alot of yummy gifts & cute texts... it was a GREAT day.

saturday was my day for 'birthday cake @ the beach' with all my friends. we met up at 09:00 (well they were all there & i was running late.haha) and it was so hot that the cakes melted on the way to Suncoast, but they sang and we ate and ate! the day was beautiful..okay maybe a little tooooo hot, but the company was great.

after noon i met with catherine for our 'triple movie day!'...so much fun & exhausting.haha.
we saw twilight (it came out on my birthday -woot woot) and i liked it...but didnt love it sadly. it looked like a budget movie & it didnt quite connect well for me :( but nonetheless, i liked it and would watch it again! edward cullen was beautiful (that actor -robert pattinson-is going to have stalkers after him - guaranteed) they did a REALLY good job casting him!

then we watched 'wild child' - one of your typical teenage movies that require no brain activity in order to enjoy :)

then, we saw 'the women'...which i surprisingly REALLY enjoyed! can't explain it, but it hit a cord with me - made me think about my lifes direction more introspectively & i guess well just -think-
the day ended at around 22:00, i drove home with edward's smile in my head and fell peacefully asleep.hahaha. i have NEVER been so drawn to a book as i have twilight...not good for my health i tell you. im almost afraid to keep reading 'new moon' because i know im a little addicted & don't want it to end too soon. yes, i know im crazy...but have YOU read the series??

im back in joburg now, back to work - or the office rather, cause there's NO work to do. im at my sisters place right now (with my mom) because i got so bored at the office. just became unbearable so i left at around 2pm.

**maroon 5/one republic**

this weekend was the GREATEST WAY i could've ended off the year & started off my birthday week :)

Friday -
we had our 'client service braai' at Joy's (Deputy MD & Head of Client Service) house in Morning & hit was so much fun. she'd sent us all emails with names of all client service & we had to write a little something about the person... funny enough most of the comments for me were 'she has an unhealthy love & knowledge of all music' hahaha, didnt know people had noticted how much i really love music.
it started at 12:30 and i only left after 18:00 and was one of the first ones to leave :)

Saturday -
i finished 'twilight'!! and it's one of those books that ends in a way that keeps you begging for more, so im now on the search for 'new moon' which is the sequel - but also secretly wishing that i get it as a birthday pressie!
i really wanted to go out, but was too lazy & didnt want to spend money so i spent the morning (& afternoon) in my pj's and experience the bliss of being a couch potatoe :) loved it! haha.

i then called up my friend Thobeka (yes we have the same name) & asked her if she wanted to join me for the 'one republic/maroon 5' concert later that evening @ The Coca-Cola Dome (had to mention the name for my future grandkids who read this.lol)
she was up for it so yaaaaaaay for live music!

i'm a MAJOR FAN of both groups and could barely contain my excitement!!

the concert was AAAAAAAAAMAZING!!!! Absolutely fantastic! I'd seen Maroon 5 perform once before when i was in Montana & i knew they'd be even more brilliant. they had a couple acts before them which i also loved - Goldfish & the Parlotones!
i screamed, jumped up & down, sang along and it was just so awesome...felt like an out of body experience - so surreal :) the only way i can explain it is absolute mayhem & foolishness!! lol

twilight!!

so my friend Juanique has been begging me to read this book (twilight) for about a year now, i've been forgetting, resisting, thinking what it would cost (books are more expensive in SA than in the US) & basically making all sorts of excuses. finally, i bought the book about 2weeks & because life's been busy somewhat, i left reading it till wednesday night and WOW! I'M ADDICTED! i know there are people who aren't into 'fantasy' books, but i used to be one of those people.... i can't put it down!

i was late for work this morning because i reading it right out of the shower!!haha. i force myself to stay awake at night so i can keep reading, this is first time in a looooooong while that i've a read a book so fast - i'll be done by tomorrow probably! it's kind of like a chick-book, but im sure there are men who'll also love it... i can't wait to read the rest of the series. i love it and recommend it whole-heartedly to all readers!!!
